Data protection interacts with so much of our lives and we want to do all we can to provide relevant and accessible information for our whole community

If you are responsible for personal data, we cannot do your job for you, but we can support you into making better decisions around your data handling practices. We also aim to ensure that we all, as citizens, understand our rights and feel empowered to use them.

HELP

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT 

• In 2021 we launched Project Bijou, a social initiative that goes beyond law and aims to engage people on a cultural level, to promote decision-making driven by ethics and human-values. Explore the project’s content here, and find out how you can play a part here. 
• Following the launch of our Schools Programme in 2019, we announced our partnership with the Youth Commission in 2022. Together we work to empower the Bailiwick’s younger generation, and to hear what issues they face. 
• We proactively engage with the Islands Data Governance Forum wherever possible to ensure that professionals working in data protection locally have a forum to develop their network, skills and knowledge.
