Protecting whistleblowers

Whistleblowing is when a person passes on information concerning wrongdoing that they have witnessed or experienced, usually (but not always) at their place of work.
  • If you are concerned that your employer, ex-employer, (or another organisation) has not complied with their legal data protection obligations in relation to other people's data, you can contact us in confidence. We have powers to undertake investigations and inquiries where appropriate.
  • If you are concerned that your employer has mishandled your own personal data, you may wish to contact us to make a complaint in a personal capacity.
