The conversation explores the opportunities and risks presented by artificial intelligence, including how voice cloning technology can be used by criminals to create increasingly convincing scams.

Brent also discusses how technology can be a hugely positive force for people living with dementia and others experiencing challenges with memory or perception, while highlighting the importance of understanding and managing the risks that can accompany rapidly evolving technologies.

Alongside practical advice on recognising and responding to scams, the episode considers the growing role of AI in our everyday lives and what this means for trust, data protection and security. These are issues that affect not only people living with dementia and their carers, but all of us.

The episode comes as Ollie celebrates success at the 2026 British Podcast Awards, where he won Gold in the Editors' Choice category and Silver in the Health and Wellbeing category.
