You can watch, listen to, or read The Bijou Lecture.

About Elizabeth M. Renieris
The author of 'Beyond Data: Reclaiming Human Rights at the Dawn of the Metaverse', her passion for data protection was ignited at university when a classmate hacked into internal residential house directories, scraped the student ID photos of female residents from their pages and pitted the undergraduate women against each other on a website called Facemash. The classmate was Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

We will release Elizabeth’s lecture on Thursday 25th May to mark the fifth anniversary of our local data protection law coming into force.

About Project Bijou
Project Bijou encourages everyone to share stories, knowledge and experiences related to ethical data use, in a way that benefits everyone. Its aim is to support and nurture positive cultural change around how people and organisations treat people’s data. It seeks to engage people on a cultural level rather than simply on a legal/compliance one.
