The Office of the Data Protection Authority partnered with the Guernsey Community Foundation to offer a tailored data protection session at KGV for local charities to help them navigate their legal obligations.

This was a follow up event to one held on 11 July 2022 and focused on data processing notices, which are a key part of helping charities explain to people what they do with their data.

This event was led by Deputy Data Protection Commissioner Rachel Masterton and Investigator Thomas Elliott. Rachel oversees the investigation and resolution of complaints and the provision of advice and guidance to organisations and members of the public. Thomas is a former Digital Media Investigator at the Guernsey Police Hi-Tech Crime Unit where he was in charge of investigating Cyber Crime among other things.
