‘This is a key aspect of our statutory obligation under section 61 of the Law to raise public awareness of citizens’ rights and promote awareness of controllers and processors’ legal duties. We have given considerable thought to how best to achieve this and look forward to listening to what people have to say about our plans.’The proposed programme includes sessions on ‘what is data?’, individuals’ rights, data ethics and principles, excellence and innovation in data protection and the application of data protection in the workplace.
